Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that teaches a smaller person how to defend themselves against a larger person by using proper technique, posture, and leverage. By competing in Vale Tudo (no holds barred, no time limit) matches against opponents of varying styles, the Gracie Family was able to take the traditional Judo that they had learned and adapt it into the art you see today. Many competitors since then have also added their own adaptations to the art making it accessible to anyone of any age, size, and confidence level.
